Legoland Florida opened its gates to the public Saturday to reveal 50 new attractions and a few familiar favorites from its predecessor, Cypress Gardens.
Legoland said thousands of guests lined up as early as 5:30 a.m. before the park opened. The company said this is the first major theme park to open in the U.S. in more than a decade.
It's not Busch Gardens and it's not the Magic Kingdom or Islands of Adventure. And frankly, it's not designed to be. Even though the majority of Florida's theme parks are kid-friendly, visitors to the new Legoland in Winter Haven say visitors is all about the kiddos.
